
What is Nano Factional RF Treatments?
Thru an array of small electrodes organized onto a tip, Nano Fractional Radio Frequency
energy is transmitted into the tissue, producing an injury in a certain pattern on the
skin. The unaffected areas that haven’t been treated promote faster healing. The end
result is an improvement in the tone and texture of the skin.
Nano fractional skin resurfacing can be used to treat the face, neck, décolletage and
hands and can also be highly effective in reducing acne scarring, facial redness and
pigmentation. This is an ideal anti-ageing treatment that can be tailored to each
individual patients skin condition.
EXCLUSION CRITRIA:
- You have a history of diseases stimulated by heat such as recurrent herpes
simplex in the treated area, you may be treated only following a prophylactic
regime. - Poorly controlled diabetes.
- History of skin disorders like, Keloids, abnormal wound healing, very dry and
fragile thin skin. - If you have sores, psoriasis, eczema or a rash.
- History of bleeding or taking anticoagulants.
- If you have undergone a facelift or eye surgery within the last 12 months.
- If you have had dermabrasion, Facial resurfacing or a deep chemical peel within
the last 3 months, if you are being treated with Neurotoxin/ collagen / fat
injections or any other method of augmentation injections within the treated
area in the last 6 months. - The use of Roaccutane 6months prior to treatment.
- The use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs e.g. Ibuprofen one week before
and after each treatment. - Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within 6 months before complete
healing. - Treatment over tattoos or permanent makeup.
- Excessive tanned skin from sun, tanning beds or tanning creams within 2 seeks
prior to treatment. - It is the practitioner’s discretion to refrain from treating any condition that may
be unsafe for the patient.
FREQUENCY OF TREATMENTS FOR BEST RESULTS:
- 3-6 Treatments depending on what you want to achieve.
Face / Neck – One treatment every 4 weeks for skin resurfacing.
Body – 1 treatment every 4-6 weeks. - It may take longer to heal in between treatments when treating e.g. scarring or
wrinkle reduction .

POST PROCEDURE INSTRUCTIONS:
- 24 HOURS POST TREATMENT
- It is best not to apply anything to the treated skin surface for the first 24hrs this
includes makeup. - After 24hr you can apply an approved moisturizing/ hydrating recovery serum.
- If your skin has fully healed, you can now apply your sunscreen 30-50+ twice a
day to the face and neck and can resume wearing a mineral makeup if you must
but ideally, best if you don’t apply makeup for 2-3 days after treatment. - Do not use any prescription topical medications, Retin-A, alcohol-based toners, or
Vitamin C serum for up to 3 days post-procedure. - You can wash your face with lukewarm water 24hrs post treatment. However,
you should avoid any hot showers/baths or swimming for 48hours. No intense
exercise (avoid any activities which will cause you to sweat).
48 HOURS POST TREATMENT
- Use a gentle cleanser with no active ingredients like AHA’s, ABA’ etc.
- For the first week or two it is important to limit or ideally avoid sun exposure to
your treated skin. Using a 30 to 50+ sunscreen in your daily routine is an absolute
MUST. - Avoid using any skincare products with active ingredients for 7-10 days post-
treatment. Active ingredients commonly used in skincare products include
Vitamin C, Retinol, Salicyclic Acid and Glycolic Acid. - 2 weeks after your treatment you can introduce your normal skincare regime.
